Cicely Anne van Straten née Luck, (6 Maart 1947 - ) is 'n Suid-Afrikaanse skrywer van kinderboeke wat is Fort Hare gebore is. Sy groei op in Oos- en Suid-Afrika en die Verenigde Koninkryk. Later het sy saam met haar grootouers in Kenia en Uganda gewoon. Hierdie jare in Afrika het haar beïnvloed en dit wys in haar boeke wat handel oor Afrika-kulture.
Van Straten skryf in Engels en haar boeke word na Afrikaans, Sotho, Tsonga, Venda en Zoeloe vertaal. Sy neem deel aan konferensies waar sy bydraes maak oor onderwerpe soos Black children need books. Sy is met Ampie van Straten getroud en hulle het drie seuns. Sy woon tans in Stellenbosch.
