Изображен в красочном одеянии казацкого атамана, на груди — наградная медаль; по словам Я. Штелина, Антропов написал этот портрет для „гетмана" Разумовского. Еще в 1742 году атаману был презентован миниатюрный портрет императрицы Елизаветы Петровны, обрамленный алмазами. С этим портретом, слегка увеличенным и выдвинутым на первый план, его и написал Антропов, используя для декорирования яркий синий цвет ленты. Заказной портрет атамана, несомненно, писался с натуры. Художник воссоздает такие черты облика, которые можно зафиксировать только при непосредственном наблюдении: складку на лбу, морщины под глазами, гладкий двойной подбородок. |
