Herta Müller

Herta Müller (gebore 17 Augustus 1953) is 'n Roemeens-Duitse romanskrywer, digter, essayis en ontvanger van die Nobelprys vir Letterkunde in 2009. Sy is gebore in Nițchidorf (Duits: Niczkydorf; Hongaars: Niczkyfalva), Timiș-distrik in Roemenië; haar moedertale is Duits en Roemeens. Sedert die vroeë 1990's is sy internasionaal gevestig, en haar werke is in meer as twintig tale vertaal.
