Five Chinese generals get on their knees begging for mercy in front of the four most important figures surrounding the battle at Pyongyang. From left to right L Colonel Satô, Major General Tatsumi, Lieutenant General Nozu and General Ôshima. On September 16, 1894, the Chinese surrendered to the Japanese army near Pyongyang, during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). Nishiki-e of the Battle of Pyongyang victory.
