Ommatokoita elongata is a 'n 30 mm-lange pienkwit parasiet in die subklas Copepoda. Dit word dikwels aangetref waar dit vasheg aan die korneas van die Groenlandse haai (Somniosus microcephalus) en die Pasifiese sluimerhaai (Somniosus pacificus).^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4] Die parasiet veroorsaak ernstige sigverlies by die haaie, maar daar word vermoed dat die haaie nie soseer op sig staatmaak vir hul oorlewing nie.^[3] Dit is die enigste spesie in die genus Ommatokoita.^[5]
