Die Petronas Torings, ook bekend as die Petronas Twin Towers (Maleis: Menara Petronas, of Menara Berkembar Petronas), is 'n tweeling toring struktuur in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysie. Volgens die "Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat" (CTBUH)'s official definition and ranking, was hulle die hoogste geboue in die wereld vanaf 1998 tot 2004 en bly die hoogste tweeling torings in die wereld. Die geboue is a landmerk van Kuala Lumpur, tesame met die nabye Kuala Lumpur Toring.
Geskiedenis
Die torings is ontwerk deur die Argentyn - Noor Amerika arhitek César Pelli. Hulle het 'n eiesoortige styl ontwikkel om die 21ste-eeu ikoon te ontwikkel vir Kuala Lumpur. BEplanning van die torings het begin op 1 Januarie 1992 en het toetse ingesluit vir simulasie van wind and las. Sewe jare se bouwerk het gevolg op die oorspronklike perseel van die Selangor Turf Club, met die beging van die uitgrawing op 1 Maart 1993.
