Die Bittergousblom (Arctotis fastuosa) is 'n eenjarige kruidagtige struik wat blom vanaf September tot Oktober. Dit verkies vol son en matige water. Die plant is 'n bosagtige struik met grysgroen blare en mooi oranje madeliefieblomme met 'n dubbele ry blomblare aan lang stele. Die blomblare van die binneste ry het 'n donkerbruin vlek aan die basis. Dit is inheems aan die Namibië, die Noord-Kaap en die Wes-Kaap.
