: I'm affraid this makes it very difficult to review changes - how am I to know this? How am I supposed to know that a silent removal of an interwiki is intended if the edit summaries always says what the bot does? I feel that this is still a bug for the edit message at least. Furthermore, the articles still exist, so the wiki isn't really closed, so I'm not sure about whether the link really should be removed if the articles are still there, but that is not my area to decide on, obviously. --[[Gebruiker:Alias|Alias]] 07:21, 6 Junie 2007 (UTC)

Until further notice is given, no further bots will be approved. The general consensus is that the number of active bots (about 9 - total of 20 approved bots), compared to the number of articles ({{NUMBEROFARTICLES}}) and the number of active and semi-active users (about 20-30) is more than sufficient. We will notify you if and when the situation changes. Thank you. [[Gebruiker:Anrie|Anrie]] 10:41, 11 Julie 2007 (UTC)

Incorrect edit?

Please check these edits: [1], [2], [3]. The summary doesn't reflect everything that was done and I don't see why the mo interwiki was removed (the mo articles exist). Do you agree that these are wrong edits? Are you using the latest bot code? Please stop using your bot and make 100% sure you sort out all problems. Please review all your previous edits by hand. --Alias 13:17, 5 Junie 2007 (UTC)[antwoord]

I'll check that immediatly once I got home (I'm currently at work), and yes, I am running the latest code version of pywikipedia.

Indeed, this is a serious problem
I'm currently asking on IRC wether it is a known problem, an unknown bug or something about the wiki being closed/moved.
That bug seems to already have happened to other people on other wikis, and as it looks currently, it might be happening to any other bot using the pywikipedia framework too (~all interwiki bots I know of). (edit: apparently that person had a different problem
I've filled a bug report about this on the pywikipedia bug report : [4]
Darkoneko 18:55, 5 Junie 2007 (UTC)[antwoord]

I got an answer from the bug report : it seems that my "wiki closing" theory was right

The mo: Wikipedia has basically been closed down - the database has been
locked since December 11.

and

Andre did this intentionally on 2007-05-28:
Modified Files:
       wikipedia_family.py
Log Message:
New language Hakka (hak:), language Moldovan (mo:) declared obsolete

since it was not a bug, I'll start my interwiki bot again.
