Victoria Clarke is 'n VK-gebaseerde geoktrooieerde sielkundige en 'n medeprofessor in kwalitatiewe en kritiese sielkunde aan die Universiteit van Wes-Engeland, Bristol. Haar werk fokus op kwalitatiewe sielkunde en kritiese sielkunde, en haar agtergrond is in die velde van kwalitatiewe navorsingsmetodes, vrouestudies, feministiese sielkunde, en LGBTQ-sielkunde. Hoër onderwys

Victoria Clarke het 'n voorgraadse graad in sielkunde aan die Brunel Universiteit voltooi; sy gradueer in Julie 1997. [6] Na die gradeplegtigheid het Clarke 'n PhD in die Departement Sosiale Wetenskappe aan die Loughborough Universiteit begin onder studiebegeleiding van professor Celia Kitzinger (en later professor Jonathan Potter en professor Sue Wilkinson). Haar PhD - in vrouestudies en sielkunde - het gefokus op lesbiese en gay ouerskap. Vanaf Oktober 1997 tot Maart 2002 was Clarke 'n PhD-student in die Departement Sosiale Wetenskappe aan die Loughborough Universiteit. Haar PhD-navorsing het die sosiale konstruksie van lesbiese en gay ouerskap ondersoek – in sielkunde en hoofstroommedia. Sy het referate gepubliseer oor televisie-geselsprogramdebatte oor selfdegeslag ouerskap, [7] oor argumente teen selfdegeslag ouerskap om teenkanting teen gelykheid vir lesbiese en gay gesinne te regverdig [8] argumente oor kinders se behoefte aan manlike rolmodelle [9] en bekommernisse oor homofobiese afknouery. [10] Sy het ook verskeie referate gepubliseer wat die voorstelling van selfdegeslag ouerskap in sielkundige navorsing krities ondersoek het - deur temas van eendersheid en verskille te verken [11] die retoriek van pseudowetenskap [12] en konstruksies van lesbiërs as ouers in sielkundige literatuur van 1886 tot 2006. Nadat sy haar PhD aan die Loughborough Universiteit voltooi het, het Clarke saam met dr Carole Burgoyne en professor Janet Reibstein[14] as 'n navorsingsgenoot gewerk aan die Universiteit van Exeter.
