"An erster Stelle der Schlesier am Hofe ist gemäß der sozialen Hierarchie Karls dritte Gemahlin Anna von Schweidnitz und Jauer zu nennen, die im Mai 1353 gut drei Monate nach dem Tod Annas von der Pfalz als Vierzehnjährige geheiratet wurde und neun Jahre später im Kindbett verstarb. Sie wurde 1361 Mutter des heißersehnten Thronfolgers Wenzel."
