Beskrywing The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14) refueling from the fleet oiler USS Ashtabula (AO-51), while operating off the coast of Vietnam, circa in January 1966. Although seas were running very high, the ships completed replenishment and Ticonderoga received 175,000 gallons (662,450 l) of black oil. Ticonderoga, with assigned Attack Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5), was deployed to Vietnam from 29 September 1965 to 13 May 1966.
