Barnard-katalogus
Die sterrekundige Edward Emerson Barnard het ’n lys van donker newels saamgestel wat bekend is as die Barnard Catalogue of Dark Markings in the Sky, of Barnard-katalogus. Die newels op die lys het bekend geword as Barnard-voorwerpe.[1]
Op ’n weergawe van die lys uit 1919 is daar 182 newels;[2] teen 1927 was daar 369.[3]
