- Hello @Oesjaar: Brazil is a republican country for more than a century and in the context of the Wikimedia projects, there is a monarchist militia that insists on placing people descended from the extinct royal family as princes and princesses, as holders of real titles that do not exist since the end of the monarchy no country a long time ago. All these articles are frequently deleted from Wikipedia in Portuguese, but they are targets of cross-wiki spam in dozens of languages. After attempting to correct and propose articles for elimination, respecting the sovereignty of each community to decide whether they want or not with these articles, I ended up blocking Afrikaans Wikipedia, after asking for the elimination of 2-3 articles. (...) On Wikipedia in Romanian, for example, one of these descendants is presented as the head of the royal house of Brazil. It's ridiculous and a laughing stock in the country and in the Portuguese-speaking community, but we can't deal with cross-wiki spam at this level. - @Oesjaar and Aliwal2012: Just to give more context, these articles were created by socks of KatiMedi/Arthur Brum, a cross-wiki abuser who has been blocked/locked on several wikis. After some work on curbing his "creations" on the Portuguese Wikipedia and the English Wikipedia, he has expanded his activities on other wikis such as the Afrikaans Wikipedia. @Aliwal2012 hello. I have been an editor for decades on the Wikimedia projects and found myself blocked wrongly for trying to forward an issue of just 2 articles resulting from cross-wiki spam created by a blocked account on other projects.
