In die Mitridatiese Oorlog word die eiland Delos aangeval. Die eiland verloor sy status as handelssentrum.[1]
6 Oktober -- Lucullus verslaan Tigranes II van Armenië op opsienbarende wyse. Hy het 16000 grondtroepe teenoor 150000 van Triganes wat ook 55000 ruiters het. Die Romeine verloor net vyf mans, die Armeniërs 100000 mans en die meeste ruiters.[2]
In 'n Romeinse volkstelling het die aantal mans toegeneem tot 910 000.[3]
