AH Scorpii (afgekort as AH Sco) is 'n rooisuperreus en veranderlike ster wat in die sterrebeeld Skerpioen geleë is. Dit is een van die grootste en helderste sterre bekend in die Melkweg.

AH Sco se afstand is onseker, maar word geraam op sowat 7 400 ligjare.[6]

Eienskappe[wysig | wysig bron]

AH Sco is 'n rooisuperreus wat in 'n stofwolk gehul is[9] en word geklassifiseer as 'n halfgereelde veranderlike ster met 'n hooftydperk van 714 dae. Die skynbare magnitude wissel tussen 6,5 en 9,6.[3] Geen lang sekondêre tydperke is al bespeur nie.[10]

Die ster se temperatuur is sowat 3 682±190 K en die ligsterkte 330 000+270 000−150,000 L. Die radius is bereken op 1 411±124 R en die afstand op sowat 7 400 ligjare.[5]
