I thought dorpie means village? correct me if I'm wrong. --Bezuidenhout (kontak) 21:40, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)

Village is "dorp" in Afrikaans. "Dorpie" is the diminutive and although many people use it, it is often seen as derogatory by the people who live in these dorpies. In an encyclopedia I would suggest that one sticks to the word "dorp". Winston (kontak) 21:46, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)
Does this mean that dorp = village and town? --Bezuidenhout (kontak) 21:49, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)
In my opinion, yes. Winston (kontak) 21:50, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)
Dankie, but just one more problem: was Naudefj's writing really that bad? --Bezuidenhout (kontak) 21:52, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)
Maybe not for the Afrikaans Wikipedia. I just expect people who write for a project like this to have a certain standard and a certain knowledge of Afrikaans so that it can be credible. Maybe I'm just over-zealous. Winston (kontak) 22:12, 21 Maart 2009 (UTC)
My writing? Not sure I understand the comments made here. I haven't created this article and haven't really contributed anything to it either. Groete. Frank (kontak) 18:24, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
