Die brandlelie (Cyrtanthus ventricosus) is 'n blomdraende plant en geofiet wat hoort tot die familie Amaryllidaceae en is endemies aan die Oos-Kaap en die Wes-Kaap waar dit deel van die fynbos-bioom is. Die plant is 'n bladwisselende, meerjarige geofiet wat 10-20 cm hoog word en dit blom van Desember tot Mei-maand. Die plant blom twee weke nadat dit gebrand het.
