Glycine is 'n genus in die Fabaceae familie. Die bekendste spesie is die gekweekte sojaboon (Glycine max). Terwyl die meerderheid van die spesies slegs in Australië gevind word, is die sojaboon se inheemse reeks in Oos-Asië. 'n Paar spesies strek van Australië tot Oos-Asië (bv. G. tomentella en G. tabacina).

Glycine spesies word as voedselplante gebruik deur die larwes van sommige Lepidoptera spesies.
